Notes of Grace
Faith-filled reflections, biblical encouragement, and little notes of grace for everyday life.
Welcome to Holy Girl Energy
Hi friend, and welcome.
I'm so glad you're here.
If you're reading this, chances are we have something in common. Maybe you're trying to grow closer to Jesus. Maybe you're walking through a difficult season. Maybe you're searching for purpose, direction, or simply a reminder that God hasn't forgotten about you.
That's exactly why I created Holy Girl Energy.
This space was born from a desire to encourage women through biblical truth, honest conversations, and real-life faith. Life isn't always easy. Sometimes we're waiting. Sometimes we're hurting. Sometimes we're celebrating. And sometimes we're just trying to make it through the day.
No matter what season you're in, my prayer is that this website feels like a place where you can slow down, breathe, and spend a few moments with Jesus.
Here you'll find podcast episodes, journal entries, prayer requests, and encouragement for everyday life. Nothing fancy. Just a community of women learning to trust God one step at a time.
As we begin this journey together, I want to leave you with a simple reminder:
You don't have to walk through life alone.
God sees you.
God loves you.
And God is still working in your story.
Thank you for being here.
With love,
Hannah
Be Salt. Be Light. Be Different
This Thursday on the podcast, we talked about being the salt and light of the world. It's one of those verses that many of us have heard so many times that we sometimes forget just how powerful it really is.
Jesus didn't call us to blend in. He didn't tell us to follow the crowd or fit into whatever the world says is normal. Instead, He called us to be different. Not different for the sake of being different, but different because our lives should reflect Him.
I think that's something many of us struggle with. We want people to like us. We want to fit in. We don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. But when we look at Scripture, we see that the people who followed God faithfully often stood out. They lived differently, loved differently, and trusted God when everyone around them was doing the opposite.
When Jesus calls us the light of the world, He is reminding us that our faith isn't meant to stay hidden. A lamp isn't lit just to be covered up. It's lit so people can see. The same is true for our lives. The kindness we show, the way we serve others, the way we respond during difficult seasons, the words we speak, and even the way we love people can point others toward Christ.
The truth is, you may never know how God is using your life to impact someone else. A simple invitation to church, a text message checking on a friend, a prayer offered at the right moment, or a conversation about your faith could be exactly what someone needs. We often think we have to do something huge for God to use us, but sometimes He works through the smallest acts of obedience.
Jesus also calls us salt. Salt changes whatever it touches. It preserves, it adds flavor, and it makes a difference. As Christians, we should leave every place a little better than we found it. Our homes, our workplaces, our friendships, our churches, and our communities should be impacted by the love of Christ working through us.
Being salt and light isn't always easy. There will be times when standing for your faith feels uncomfortable. There will be moments when you're the only one choosing God's way. There will be days when you wonder if anyone notices the effort you're making to follow Him. But remember, we're not called to be popular. We're called to be faithful.
As I've reflected on this week's podcast episode, I've been asking myself a simple question: Am I shining brightly enough that people can see Jesus through me? Not Hannah. Not my accomplishments. Not my plans. But Jesus.
Maybe that's a good question for all of us this week.
As you go through the next few days, look for opportunities to be salt and light. Encourage someone. Pray for someone. Share your testimony. Invite a friend to church. Show kindness when it's unexpected. Let your faith be visible.
The world doesn't need more people blending in. It needs more believers who are willing to shine for Christ.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16
This Week is a Blessing
I hope you all had a beautiful and safe 4th of July filled with laughter, family, fireworks, and rest. 🇺🇸✨
As we step into a new week, I just want to gently remind you of something we so often forget in the busyness of life:
We are blessed every single day.
Not just on holidays. Not just on good days. Not just when everything feels perfect. But in the ordinary, quiet, in-between moments too.
Every breath we take is a gift from God. Every new morning is a fresh start. Every chance we get to love someone well is an opportunity to reflect Him.
“This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)
We don’t always feel joyful, and that’s okay. But we can still choose gratitude. We can still choose kindness. We can still choose love—even when it’s hard.
So today, let’s go back to the basics:
Be loving.
Be kind.
Be caring.
Be patient with others—and with yourself.
Because the way we treat people matters. The way we speak matters. The way we show up in the world matters.
You never know what someone is carrying. Your kindness might be the only glimpse of Jesus they see today.
So let’s be that light. Let’s be gentle. Let’s be intentional. Let’s be grateful.
And if this week feels heavy already, pause and remember this:
God is still good. You are still held. And you are still blessed.
You Don't Have to Have It All Together
Happy Monday, sweet friends. 🤍
I don't know who needs to hear this today, but you don't have to have it all together.
Sometimes we convince ourselves that everyone else is doing better than we are. We scroll through social media and see beautiful homes, successful careers, happy marriages, growing families, and people who seem to have endless confidence. Before we know it, we're comparing our behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reel.
But here's the truth...
God has never asked us to be perfect.
He has never asked us to know every answer, never struggle, or never have a bad day. He simply asks us to keep walking with Him.
Some seasons are filled with joy.
Some are filled with waiting.
Some are filled with healing.
Some are filled with uncertainty.
Every single one of those seasons has purpose.
Maybe today you're waiting on a prayer to be answered. Maybe you're praying for a baby, healing in your marriage, a new job, financial peace, or simply for your heart to feel lighter again. Whatever your prayer looks like, God sees it.
He isn't ignoring you.
He isn't behind schedule.
He isn't surprised by what you're facing.
Sometimes the greatest growth happens while we're waiting.
One thing I've learned is that peace doesn't come from having everything figured out. Peace comes from knowing the One who already does.
When I stop trying to control every outcome and instead place it back into God's hands, something changes. My circumstances may not change overnight, but my heart does.
Isaiah 41:10 reminds us:
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
What a beautiful promise.
God isn't asking you to carry every burden alone. He offers to carry them with you.
So today, take a deep breath.
Give yourself a little grace.
Celebrate the small victories.
Open your Bible, even if it's just for a few minutes.
Say a simple prayer.
Smile at someone.
Encourage a friend.
Those little acts of faith matter more than you realize.
Remember that your worth has never been based on your productivity, your appearance, your relationship status, or how "put together" you seem. Your worth was settled the moment God called you His child.
As we step into this new week, let's choose faith over fear, peace over pressure, and grace over perfection.
You've made it through every hard day before this one, and God will faithfully walk with you through today too.
Keep showing up.
Keep trusting Him.
Keep growing.
One small step of obedience at a time.
Have a beautiful week, friends. May you find peace in God's presence and confidence in His promises.
With love,
Hannah 🤍
